UC San Diego – Torrey Pines South, San Diego, CA

The project is a tenant improvement in the Torrey Pines Center South structure on the UC San Diego campus which was originally built in 1985.  The 10,000 square foot space was completely renovated to create a collaborative working environment for the Business and Financial Services for the University.  The spaces and furnishings were designed to connect people while providing quiet offices while maintaining visual connections by the use of glass walls.  Hoteling spaces along with Zoom Rooms were also incorporated to provide necessary semi-private areas.  Also important to the department was the Kitchen and Lounge providing a place for staff gatherings and social interactions which are important to build a cohesive team/department.  domusstudio partnered with bkm Officeworks to collectively select the furnishings and shape the environment within the space.
