The design uses tilt-up concrete to create, activate and make connections to usable exterior space. The architectural gestures facilitate an indoor / outdoor lifestyle. The concrete wall panels and structural elements of the project define and articulate courtyard spaces and provide privacy. The massing terraces give exterior spaces access to view, sunlight, fresh air, and street presence. The exploration and inclusion of these themes into this project testifies to timeless qualities and ‘correctness’ of R.M. Schindler’s concepts used next door 80 years ago.
